Common questions
When should my child see a speech therapist?
If you're worried about how your child talks, understands or eats, ask their doctor or ask for a free evaluation through Early Intervention (under 3) or your school district (3 and older). You don't need to wait and see.
Do speech therapists help with feeding?
Many do. Speech-language pathologists treat feeding and swallowing problems, including in babies. Ask whether the practice has a feeding specialist.
